After her dearest dreams are shattered, competitive figure skater Addisyn Miles embarks on a quest to discover who she really is.  But when her greatest enemy resurfaces, her only hope for redemption lies in the sister she left behind…and the Love she never considered.

"White Deer"

Susan Schuyler’s life has never been simple–not when she’s constantly navigating the struggles of raising her son Devon, a teenager with autism. So her father’s invitation for her and Devon to visit him on his farm seems like the recipe for a peaceful respite. However, when Devon becomes fixated on a mysterious local legend, Susan’s hopes of rest are replaced by days roaming the woods looking for the impossible. But when Susan’s practicality clashes with Devon’s deepest needs, could the rarest form of real be closer than she ever believed–and will she have the eyes to see?

"Solstice Song"

I wrote this poem in December of 2020, when I faced an odd juxtaposition–the joy and peace of Christmas superimposed on a backdrop of trial and tragedy.  And what I saw convinced me that the light–the Light–of Christmas is more powerful than any darkness the enemy can pour over our souls.  And for me, the greatest symbol of this is the winter solstice, the mystery of the light breaking forth from the longest and darkest night of the entire year.  This poem is a hymn of hope and a liturgy of light, and I pray it gives your soul a song to sing–not just at the solstice, but anytime you’re tempted to wonder if the Light is strong enough.
